| As of 2 June 2010, Plexus Components has successfully merged with WesTech Electronics following the completion of the proposed acquisition. Plexus Components has become a wholly own subsidiary of WesTech Electronics, a listed company on Catalist, Singapore Exchange (SGX). Pursuant to this, Mr Kenny Sim, who is the CEO and co-founder of Plexus Components has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of the Listed enlarged Group.

The history of the Plexus Group can be traced back to 31 October 1997 when Plexus was incorporated in Singapore to commence the business of distribution of passive components, including electrolyte capacitors, multi-layer chip capacitors and chip resistors.
From a distributor of passive components, Plexus has grown into a regional distributor and manufacturer’s representative of a wide range of electronic components. In addition, Plexus also provides value added services to its customers in the form of design and development services, which in turn enhances the demand for Plexus’ product offerings. The Plexus Group’s principals and customers now span across Asia, including Singapore, India, PRC, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
